The common thread in so many of these stories in the desperate situation these people quickly find themselves in after they get fired because they have no health insurance. How can the right advocate for this? How can you be self-reliant and pull yourself up by your bootstraps when you can’t afford to go to the doctor and any health crisis is devastating?

It’s stories like this that make me think my family could realistically end up living in England at some point. Yes, paying more in taxes but being grateful not to be bankrupted by a health problem.
